Biscuits and Homemade Sausage Gravy

Ingredients:
1 container store-bought biscuit dough
1 pound ground pork sausage (available pre-packaged in the meat section of your grocery store)
1 stick butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups half & half

Directions:
Bake biscuits according to package instructions. In a large pan, season sausage with salt and pepper, and cook through (internal temperature of 160 and no redness or blood). In a small pan, melt butter. Whisk in flour to create a roux; this will thicken the gravy. Whisk in half and half; then pour mixture into pan with sausage. Season with additional salt and pepper. Let flavors combine on low heat, about 10 minutes. (If sauce is too thick, thin it out with a small amount of warm water.) Pour gravy over biscuits and serve.
