3 cups shells
1 cup whole milk
2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella or “pizza blend” cheese (pizza blend is recommended)
2 large, fresh basil leaves, chopped
1/3 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
Preheat oven to 350. Cook pasta according to package instructions. In a large pan, heat milk for 3-4 minutes on medium-low. Then, add in half of the cheese and whisk until melted into the milk. When pasta is done, strain and pour into pan with cheese sauce, and combine. Then, stir in remaining half of cheese and fresh basil. Transfer to an oven safe dish, and top with breadcrumbs. Bake 20 minutes, then broil an additional 3-5 minutes or until breadcrumbs are browned.
