Classic French Toast

4 tablespoons butter
2 eggs, plus a splash of water or milk
4 slices hearty white bread
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon sugar

In a large pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter on medium-low. In a shallow bowl (wide enough to fit a slice of bread), add eggs plus a splash of water or milk. In a separate, small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar. Dip bread in eggs, then top each side with cinnamon sugar mixture and place in buttered pan. While toast cooks, add remaining butter to pan. Cook 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
