4 strips of thick-cut bacon
12 ounces green beans, washed and trimmed
1 large garlic clove, chopped
1-2 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
In a medium pan over medium heat, cook bacon to desired crispness. Then, remove bacon from pan, and drain half the bacon fat. Add green beans and garlic to pan, plus butter, and cook on low 5 minutes. Season with salt. Then, add chili flakes and cook until fully tender, about another 3-5 minutes.
Roughly chop bacon. After removing green beans with heat, toss bacon with green beans and serve.
