Open-Faced Meatball Sandwiches

1/2 of a ciabatta bread loaf, cut horizontally
1 cup jarred tomato sauce
1 cup shredded or fresh mozzarella
10-12 frozen Italian-style meatballs (available near other frozen meats or pastas)

Add the ciabatta bread halves to a sheet pan, and broil them 3-4 minutes on high (watch closely to make sure they don’t burn). Once the bread is toasted, turn off the broiler, and preheat the oven to 350.

Thinly slice the defrosted meatballs. Top the bread with tomato sauce, meatballs, and mozzarella. Add any desired seasonings (such as dried oregano, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, etc.). Bake in the oven for 15 minutes until cheese is fully melted and meatballs are heated.
