Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Makes 4 sliders
Ingredients:
1/3 cup chopped sweet onion, plus oil for sautéing
9 ounces of thinly sliced steak, such as Steak Umms
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tablespoons Cheese Whiz
4 slider rolls, plus optional butter for toasting

Directions:
In a large pan on medium-low heat, add a splash of oil, and toss in the onions. Let the onions cook down for about 15 minutes or until very soft and starting to caramelize (you can cook the onions even longer for full caramelization, if desired).

Remove the onions from the pan, and add the steak, and season as desired. Cook the steak until it’s browned through; if you’re using Steak Umms, they will shred as they cook. Once the steak is just about done, add the Cheese Whiz into the mixture, and combine.

Let the steak sit 5 minutes. In the meantime, broil the slider buns to crisp them up. Remove the buns from the oven, then fill them with the cheesesteak mixture and fried onions and serve.
