Philly Cheesesteak Bread

This easy, cheesy baked bread is loaded with steak and peppers and absolutely bursting with flavor! I used Pillsbury dough because it’s easy to unroll and shape, but you can use homemade dough or any other store-bought version. Pro tip: Make sure to season the steak well with salt and pepper while it cooks!

Ingredients:
1 pound of store-bought pizza dough, at room temperature
1 pound of sandwich steak (usually available in the meat department)
1 cup of pre-sliced bell peppers and onions
[A splash of oil]
[Sea salt & pepper, plus any other desired seasonings]
8 pieces of thinly sliced provolone

Directions:
Let the pizza dough sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. Once the dough is pliable, stretch it out on an oiled sheet pan, and preheat the oven to 400. In the meantime, add a splash of oil to a pan, and heat peppers and onions on medium-low for 10-15 minutes. Then, add the sandwich steaks to the pan along with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings of choice.

Once the steaks are brown, transfer the steak, plus the peppers and onions, to the pizza dough, then top with provolone slices.

Take the longer side of the dough, and roll the dough up into a cylindrical shape; it should look like a bread loaf. Add a little more olive oil to the top of the loaf, and season the top with some sea salt. Bake the loaf for 15-20 minutes or until it’s fully golden brown. Let the loaf cool for 5 minutes, then slice it into one-inch pieces with a sharp knife.
