Ingredients:
1 pound pizza dough
4 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
Sea salt, as desired
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 450. Shape pizza dough into 2-inch balls. (To create traditional garlic knots, separate the dough into 5-inch “rope” pieces, and tie each piece into itself to create a knot.) Place knots on a sheet pan, and bake 10 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the butter in the microwave in 10-second intervals until fully melted.
Remove knots from the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour 3 tablespoons of butter, plus garlic and Parmesan (reserve 1 tablespoon of butter, plus a bit of Parmesan for garnish) into the bowl as well, and toss to coat the knots with the butter Parmesan mixture. Season with salt if desired.
Return knots to the oven and bake an additional 7-10 minutes. Remove knots from oven, plate, and drizzle with remaining butter. Sprinkle remaining Parmesan, plus fresh parsley for garnish, and serve.
